What happens to your home loan repayments?
If the minimum repayment needs to be increased, most lenders automatically increase your home loan repayment. However, when interest rates fall, most lenders don’t automatically reduce your home loan repayments.
- You pay down your loan sooner; and
- You pay less in interest over the life of the loan.
